“Dear Karen and Susan: We’ve never met, but I’m sorry. I’m sorry that you’ve had to endure this kind of persecution, this kind of hate, this kind of ridiculous misrepresentation of what God’s people are called to do. Truthfully, I’m ashamed. I’m ashamed of my own brothers and sisters in the faith. I’m ashamed of what they’ve done, and I’m ashamed that they think Jesus would approve.”
